Watchtower appeals lawsuit in Quebec

The lawsuit concerning sexual abuse against the Watchtower for the rest of Canada is still pending a decision on if it can move forward (the lawyers are almost certain it will but I don't think they get the decision till the new year )

February 18, 2020. Summary of the Watchtower's appeal in Quebec, Canada, to the Quebec Court of Appeal.

The Watchtower of Canada and the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania challenged the class action suit authorized last year by the Superior Court of Quebec. Watchtower lawyers, were the same as last year: Victims' lawyers, the same as last year. 3 Judges: 2 women and 1 man. Approximately 20 people in the assistance on the JW side, and 15 ex-JWs on the other side. Watchtower attorneys have had roughly the same dishonest arguments as last year, 'Watchtower is not responsible, statute of limitations, non-credible representative, errors of previous lower court judge, questioning of its judgment issued last year, Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania has nothing to do with Canada, etc. ' The victims' lawyers very well counter-argued against the old and new arguments of the Watchtower lawyers. I'm not going to detail everything, it's too long and technical. To be continued. Their verdict should be rendered within 1-2 months.

Canada: News about the lawsuit in Quebec(Canada) against the Watchtower for child sexual abuse coverup: The plaintiffs have won, Watchtower lost its appeal. The 3 judges took the side of the victims. So the lawsuit can continue. The Watchtower lawyers will most likely appeal to the Supreme Court, but according to the victims’ lawyer, it is 98% sure the appeal will be refused.
